Make me think of Old Louievul

Can't really believe no one has commented on this one. Produced by Bob Weston, this is definitly one of my favs of 2005. Many of the songs remind me of early 90's louisville rock which makes me happy. They really don't hold back the tension on this record and if you like the in-yo-faceness of a live Shipping News performance then you'll surely appretiate how the record captures that aspect of the band better than previous recordings. If you're a long time fan, you need to have it, but it's possibily not a very good intro to Shipping News. They've been around for quite a while and the quintessential Shipping News sound is probably best displaying in Very Soon... which would be a better starting point for the new listener.

Full of tension, rhythm and control

Full of tension, rhythm and control this is without question one of my favorite albums of all time.

Needs more than a 30 sec. listen.

I'm 48, recently found this album. Axons and Dendrites is one of my all time favorite songs. Check it out.
