Latin Funk and Shalom
Latin Funk and Shalom are my favorite songs right now. Matthew Shell's production is unique and Marcus Johnson's piano playing is superb. Awesome album!! -Jared

I have Plush in my head all day even when it's not playing! When it is playing, it's on repeat! I even listen to this when exercising! (My 1st review ever, that tells you how much I enjoy this song-the others are good too).
Marcus Johnson is on fire with this release!
I heard MJ's YouTube preview for 'FLO Chill' and I immediately had to hit up iTunes. Here are my 4 favs. 'Latin Funk' makes me want to dance, especially when it hits the bridge; the song just takes off to another level of sheer aural pleasure. That joint 'Shalom' takes me back to high school, when I was into 'New Edition' (It's been forever since I felt those feelings of first love, hope, joy, and not having a care in the world). 'Plush' is really chill, the perfect album opener, and the closest thing to smooth jazz (love the acoustic bass). 'Another Planet' is really different, and I love how it ends with the perfect piano solos. I bought the whole album, but tracks 1, 3, 6, & 9 stand out in a big way. There is something so spiritual these songs, especially 'Shalom.' I can't put my finger on it, but music hasn't made me feel this great in a long time. Marcus Johnson is at the top of his game!
