Great new single.

So Taylor has turned one out to hopefully pull her back into maint stream. Yes, it's dance, but it has a catchy and slick produced sound that can classify it as Pop and not just dance. Her vocals are even somewhat "enhanced" through an auto tune, wha? Yes, she has went commercial to compete with today's market. I don't mind, as long as she still gives us some songs where she really showcases her abilities. That being said, I really hope this at least becomes a strong summer dance hit for her. Taylor is so very unappreciated for her talent and it's just not right that she has been away from the true spotlight of the music world.

Great New Song From The Great Dayne

So Taylor's released her first single from her re-recorded greatest hits package which is slated for release this year...or so Taylor says. "Floor On Fire" was supposed to be the 2nd single released after "Right Time" but in the music biz there are surprises. I would suspect that "Floor On Fire" was released first to attract listeners because it is a great dance club song and Taylor has always been able to please the dance club charts with her powerhouse vocals....auto tuned or not Taylor can sing. So the next song is what I'm expecting to be either an equal or greater success than "Floor On Fire" or perhaps the next single is inferior to "Floor On Fire" and Ms. Dayne is looking to sell the next single partially from the success of this one. I'd say she probably has a few singles that span different pop genres but she isn't going to break out of that pop genre she's been accustomed to for over 2 decades now. Taylor Dayne has been promoting her album Satisfied since it's release in 2008 so this is a nice addition to last year's theme for the gay games in Cologne Germany ("Facing A Miracle"). Definitely a top 10 on the dance charts, and yet hopefully we'll see something a little more sophisticated than this in subsequent releases this year. Congrats Taylor, you've got a great track with "Floor On Fire"!
