Not Great
It's one thing to be hailed as a great singer and get to work with Journey's Steve Smith, Ross Valory and Greg Rollie in a break-off band called the Storm, and a completely different thing to do your own rendition of Perry-era journey classics. Chalfant was great in the Storm, and his original work is good too. The journey remakes, however, are just insulting! Remakes are only warranted if you have something to add, some way of modernizing or re-envisioning a standard. These versions just don't cut it.

Come on....Really!? Listen, KC has a great voice, and what he did with The Storm was great Commercial Rock that didn't get the radio play it deserved. But if you are a true Journey fan like myself, this is an insult! Many artists try to re-create Perry's sound, and it can't be done! What I believe was this was Kevin's snarky indirect audition for Journey while they were searching for Perry's replacement. Thank god it didn't take. Tribute albums are rediculous. Anybody remember Pat Boone doing some metal bands stuff? Why would anybody listen to Kevin Chalfant singing Journey when they can just listen to Journey?
Journey tribute
Great vocal tribute to classic Journey tracks. Chalfant is a melodic rock gem. He was never in Journey not even for a little while but he could have held his own as he did in The Storm together with Gregg Rolie.
