Support this fantastic musician
This music is the new sound of latin jazz. If you're not at least moving your feet by the end of track one then there's something wrong with you, because this album is HOT!
Wow!
I've vowed not to buy any addl music this year (yeah right!), but had t/have this after hearing him w/the Latin Jazz All Stars tribute to Hilton Ruiz at the 2007 Chicao Jazz Fest. Absolutely awesome.

Percussionist Wilson “Chembo” Corniel, Jr. was born in Manhattan on November 22, 1953. The child of Puerto Rican parents, Corniel grew up on the streets of Red Hook, Brooklyn. He showed an early interest in percussion instruments, and was playing congas, bongo, and bata by the age of 12, and he studied with percussionists Tommy Lopez, Sr., “Little Ray” Romero, Louie Bauza, and Cachete Maldonado.
