Just wanted to squeeze in a credit for him.

Great Single, Great message, Great B-sides.

"Fort Hood" isn't exactly an anti-war song. It's more of a song about my own guilt for living life without thinking of the war every moment. I was invited by the USO to visit Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2006; I went over and gave CDs to wounded guys, most of them in their 20s, most missing limbs. It was tremendously moving. As we left the hospital, I was thinking that I wanted to never lose that feeling I felt, of incredible gratitude for everything in life." -- Mike Doughty A moving song about a complex topic that's too often broken down to mindless cheerleading or finger-pointing. Like all good artists, Doughty writes from the heart without claiming to be right or wrong. As for the rest, it's Doughty at his best: "Man with a guitar." With a lot of live material already floating around, though, it might be of greatest interest to completists.

Great song

This is a great song from an artist that has been an inspiring me since I started listening to his work with Soul Coughing in the `90s. I recently PCS'd from the Army and am an Operation Iraqi veteran with two tours in Baghdad. I was an NCO with a unit from 1st Cav stationed @ Ft Hood. This song is not despicable, it is an american voicing his opinion. If it expresses views or values that you may not agree with, then it defines exactly what we are fighting for in that god-forsaken place. Isn't that the ideal, the opportunity to voice your own beliefs and/or opinions. Great job Mike! Keep up the good work and I can't wait for more tunes.

The four musicians signed with Slash/Warner Bros. in 1993 after making a name for themselves on...
