Dan Telfer is a Nerd-God Amongst Lesser Nerds
The comedey scene in Chicago is a big one, what with being the home grounds for Second City, IO Theatre, and a giant number of infamous comedy clubs. The city is full of irreverent pop-culture musicals, sketch comedy shows on every block, and stand-up comedians devoting entire nights of material to jokes about their farts. With all this comedy meat packed into one city, you know what floats to the top of this uh... this pile of comedy meat?
Well, it's certainly not my crap metaphors.
The answer is Dan Telfer and his first comedy album EP. Recorded while opening for the brilliant Paul F. Tompkins (which, if anything, should tell you how incredible Telfer himself is), this album is pakced with agressive palentology-based rants, Star Wars character impressions, obscure Voltron jokes disguesed as insults to drunk, vapid strangers on the EL train, and hurled insults at the digusting genus of monster-birds known as geese. If you've ever awkwardly referenced the fictional backgrounds of science fiction characters in a bar to friends who don't have a clue what you're talking about, Dan Telfer is the comedian for you. Get his album, make a shrine out of it, find out where he lives, and demand he keep digitizing his voice for the amusement of strangers.

Dan Telfer is the tenderest, most gentle, and most giving lover I have ever had. I would recommend him to anyone looking to lose themselves in a night of unbridled passion. Five stars!
