Full of Life
I love live albums and especially this one! I know that every note is played within the moment and is full of kinetic energy and vibrations. There were no second takes and none needed with this wonderfully talented group. Calm Our Spirits is especially warming and thoughtful, an experiment and experience of emotions.
Refreshing!
I saw Greg Harris at the Sacramento Jazz Festival last summer and I bought this CD. He was amazing live and so is this collection of dreamy yet vibrant songs. What a talent! Nice to listen to as background music or just to groove on.

i know this was like 2007, but man, the intro to this album is really one of those greats of jazz music. the way the guitar just drops in and the whole band starts goin' at it... so smooth... but not like the genre of "smooth jazz". oh no, they've got some great odysseys here. but it's soo listenable nonetheless. and the clarity of these tracks! MMM!! so good! really just a talented group of guys. please give it a listen. thanks to guys like this, roy hargrove, mmw, etc. jazz is obviously FAR FROM DEAD!!
