Snubbed once again
I used to have the double cd of the woodstock soundtrack, only to lose the disc that has richie havens shredding "Freedom". Now I can't find it anywhere. Sure enough, I'm able to navigate my way to another song I've been searching for only to realize I have to spend $25 to buy this wretched album. I hate itunes.
Exactly--where is the original version of Freedom??
I want to buy the song Freedom--it's the one that's on the movie soundtrack for "A Walk on the Moon." Like the other reviewer here, I can't believe I can't buy this song. It's as classic as it gets.
Surprise delight
I love this album because of the great songs recorded from as long ago as the 1st World War over 90 years ago to some fairly modern songs. Good quality recording. This is a soundtrack from a PBS American history series "Freedom: A History of US". 67 songs. Well worth the price. I really wish they would have included the liner notes on these historic recordings. That would have really enhanced my appreciation of this album.
