Freshly Composted - Compost 200
Compilations are always great for people that are starting to get into a certain genre or label. This new compilation by Germany's Compost, and their 200th release, is a fair attempt at drawing a new crowd to their already well established label. The opening track by Bajka and Ben Mono gets a lush mid tempo quasi-house rub by Serious Mo, that sets a great mood for the comp. Beanfield then takes it off with a rare electro-clashy remix of General Electric's "Facing the Void". Alex Attias, world renowned producer that has realeased on great labels like Amalgama, Ubiquity, and Vision records, gets remixed by none other than techno legend Laurent Garnier, who does a number on an already driving track. I would have to say though that the stand out track of this compilation is Domu's remix of Eddy and Yannah's,"Shamed." Domu is a master at what he does, and this remix definately shows his avid love of chopping up beats. For a person that is starting to get into the future jazz arena, this should be a nice start to get your palette wet. This excursion definately is more on the techier side, but look for other stuff on this label as they are known for releasing quality stuff.

Sort of like being trapped in a Eurotrash disco.
