The "Thriller" of a Shalamar album - G.O.A.T.
by Azone1983Now I know why this group was blowing up. This album is flawless. I don't even have to talk about the lead song "A Night To Remember" and the smooth ballads "I Can Make You Feel Good" and "I Don't Wanna Be The Last To Know" but rare seldomly heard cuts (in the US, not UK) like "Playin' To Win" and "There It Is" can work up quite a sweat, thanks to the superb production of Leon Sylvers III and some of his production/writing team (e.g. some of Leon's famous family memebers, Dana Myers, and more). Like some of its SOLAR label mates, Shalamar's music was galactic and were about to take over the world, but group problems unfortunatley silenced the true magic in the next year to come.
