Awesome!

In the same vein of inventive TV scoring as LOST, Fringe has some great musical moments. The album is great, and you can hear the progression through the season from the more traditional, LOST-style music from Giacchino to the more electronic style from Tilton. I have to say, though, that Tilton's work is my favorite. The electric strings and "hollow" electronic percussion fits the show perfectly, and it's addictive. My favorite tracks are "The Dreamscape", "Gurney for Your Thoughts", and "Sanford and Shunned". Looking forward to the second season CD!

It be Givin' Me Chills

Yet again, another one of J.J. Abrams' amazing shows is intensified by amazing music. This score, along with Lost, Dexter, and a few other popular TV shows, have changed the standard for television everywhere to actually incorporate the feelings expressed on the series to have a core of seemingly unworldly scores that make you not only want to keep watching because of the plot and great character development, but make you watch because of the deep, unexplainably diverse and enigmatically foreign emotions it rips out of you, because of this music. Mystery incorporated with Suspense, out of all other genres, intrigues us to the pit of our stomach and leads us on paths of philosophy that we would have never experienced with action or drama or any other breed of entertainment. J.J. Abrams has really outdone himself again with this album, the choice of composers and the show in general.

Where's the cellos?

Purchased "Dreamscape" hoping to hear the wonderful classical cellos as the Massive Dynamics employee plunges through the window and falls to his death. "Dreamscape" didn't have the part I was looking for.
