The Man For The Job...(Overall Review): From Nothin' To Somethin'
Fabolous, Yup He’s BACK!. It's been 3 years since his last LP with a 6 month delay, And hellah worth it too. iTunes, I’m afraid we need more stars :( 1.**** - VG Intro - A Decent intro with a nice lil' beat to it. Fabolous is rapping about how he went from, something to nothing. I dun no what else to say. 2.***** - E Beat – VG Lyrics – Yup he’s back, and like I said before better than ever. I nice beat from a new producer Free-Bass which really assists it. Overall a strong song, equipped with nice rapping from ‘Loso. Recommended… 3.***** - E Beat – E Lyrics – Things have changed around this guy. Akon is featured in this song and is credited for production. The beat is off the hook and the chorus is amazing. Fabolous’ rapping is awesome as well, nice flow. Recommended. 4.****** - E+ Beat – E+ Lyrics – I’m breaking the rating rules, no choice ha ha. It’s A killer Song, we all know it. Ne-yo on chorus (amazing job) he also takes on a whole verse. Timbaland produced is (so it’s obviously good) and fabolous’ rapping is better than ever. Recommended, you should all have it anyway. 5.**** - VG Beat – VG Lyrics – Overall a very good song. T-Pain’s chorus is very good; the only part I don’t like is when he repeats go! Fabolous’ rapping is excellent (patterns). The flow is nice. JD’s beat is good, with an 80’s twist. Recommended 6.***** - VG Beat – E Lyrics – Featuring Swizz Beatz, this collabo between Fabolous flows very nicely. Even though it features Swizz Beatz it’s produced by Just Blaze. The song’s about a hustlers returning to the game such as Fabolous. A good choice for second single but it won’t make charts like Make Me Better or Diamonds. 7.**** - VG Beat – G Lyrics – So, this is a very interesting collaboration. With a reggae artist Junior Reid, who we know from “It’s Okay (One Blood)” and “This Is Why I’m Hot [Blackout Remix]” makes an interesting spin to it. Title of song says all basically. Not recommended... 8.**** - VG Beat – G Lyrics – “So U Wanna See What a Real Playa Like” is a factor in every other hip-hop song which makes this song a bit tiring. Lloyd’s chorus is A’ight but Fabolous’ word play is straight fire. Beat by Polow Da Don (Runaway Love). Not recommended… 9.***** - E Beat – E Lyrics – I think it might be the first collabo ever with Rihanna. Def Jam’s finest lady sings about their first time about first dates etc. This song is awesome and well I dunno what else to say. Straight Fiya. Reccomended! 10.***** - E Beat – G Lyrics – I know what you’re thinking. Another song about diamonds, yes indeed. Some people are like oh my god but a nice production by Steve Morales and the runners just blows it up. It’s awesome; you just have to listen to it a couple of times. Please get the remix with Weezy f baby. Recommended forever. 11.***** - G Beat – E Lyrics – This song has 17 plays through 2 days of owning it ha ha. A personal favorite of mine. But beware; the beat is Good because it does get old pretty quickly. Nice lyrics by Jay-z and do we even have to mention fabolous. Nice job on rapping as well for a new guy called uncle murda. Recommended. 12.**** - VG Beat – VG Lyrics – This one isn’t much different from Yep, I’m back. But anyways, the beat is awesome but it sounds like a lot of the other songs on the album. Word play of the hook. Nice chorus yet it gets old. Red Café is pretty awesome as well. Not really recommended. 13.*** - OK Beat – G Lyrics – The end sort of becomes weak further in. Although the lyrics are repetitive but I just can’t get by the flow so I give it go. Dannon or whatever his name is produced this (Go Crazy by Young Jeezy as well). Not recommended 14.**** - G Beat – VG Lyrics – Overall a good song. Lil’ Mo, who loso has worked with in street dreams. Good song but not recommended. PS: annoying beat after at beginning, it also grows on you. Not recommended. 15.*** - B Beat – VG Lyrics – You can see why this is a bonus track. Sort of an OK song over all. I think the rap is good but the beat s**ks eggs. That’s my thing for this song. Not recommended 16.**** - G Beat – G Lyrics – Funny song. “You ain’t got an S on ya chest, you ain’t supa …” It’s got more of a laid back beat but I like it. Nice bonus track. Really, you don’t got a choice of recommendation, ‘cuz it is album only. Wow, so this rounds it up. His 4th LP, being his best is awesome. DJ Khaled was on crack when he decided to release his LP the same week (idiot) which I will review soon. Fabolous, prince of Brooklyn you killed it mayn. Now, to the recommendations, this is gonna be hard to choose but I’ll do my best. 1. Make Me Better 2. Diamonds 3. Baby Don’t Go 4. Change Up 5. First Time Big Names in production, guests and a big album overall. Why not get this album. Gratz!
