iTunes Review

“I made a religion out of what I love,” sings Red Wanting Blue’s Scott Terry in “Pour It Out,” one of many anthemic tracks here. If faith in one’s dreams is this impressive album's theme, so are the doubts and detours that test even the most resolute believer. Since the ‘90s, Red Wanting Blue has made a study brand of heartland rock rooted in the band’s Midwestern heritage. This time, Terry confronts the challenges of sustaining a relationship while living the touring musician’s life; his idealism is tempered by experience. His cavernous baritone (suggesting Eddie Vedder with a touch of Bob Seger) fills tunes like “Hope on a Rope,” “Love Remains," and “Running of the Bulls” with resonant longing. Guitarist Eric Hall Jr. and keyboardist Greg Rahm flesh out RWB’s sound with burly yet nuanced playing, adding country twang to “Cocaine” and shifting into jangle-rock for “White Snow.” The music on this heartfelt, hard-hitting release is muscular yet confessional, proudly unflashy, and palpably sincere.

Amazing

Anyone that isn't aware of RWB, should really do themselves and their ears a favor and get to know them. If they are performing near you, go and see them live and you will be a fan forever.

Continued to be Impressed

Amazing album. RWB continues to impress. Just when I thought they reached new heights with their last album, they completely take it to a new level on From The Vanishing Point.

Free Listen sold me - new fan!

I took advantage of the AOL Free Listen and loved what I heard! Am so glad to find some new rock music -- had enough of the bubble gum stuff that is so rampant on the radio right now!
