This newest Kari Kimmel album is an impactful introduction to one of America's most prolific songwriters since Carol King, in a style that is bright and fresh featuring well-crafted lyrics and memorable melodies. With three albums under Kari's belt prior to "From the Vault" and another one slotted for late summer, this performer already labeled "America's Pop Sweetheart" in the blogosphere so early in her career is destined to join the ranks of Dido and Sheryl Crow as a premier female recording artist. She covers, with flair and flawless execution, music styles from rock to pop to soft ballads. Yet Kari remains true to her own distinctive voice backed by a tight and solid band.
