Fantastic Concert

I admit that David Meece has always been one of my favorite musicians. While his music can be a little syrupy at times, he tends to be creative, heartfelt, with impeccable musicianship. This album from the early 80's features David in concert performing some of his biggest hits to date (We Are the Reason, Gospel Train, All the Time) while including songs from others (Rattle Me, Shake Me). However, the album is most worth it for two sections in particular: First, the humorous story he tells in "Mother, Muffler, Mozart, and the Beatles" which is hysterical no matter how many times I hear it. Second, the powerful story he tells in the "Crucifixion" medley. This is a collection of narrative and music and lyrics that retells the events of the crucifixion - quite moving! I am glad itunes has put this album online and HIGHLY recommend you add it to your collection. If you are familiar with David Meece - then you definitely will be happy to hear this recording. If you haven't heard of him before - prepare to laugh and to be moved from start to finish!

Front Row

This was my first gospel concert I saw when I was a teenager. I wore the tape out listening to it over and over. I'm glad to find this again. David's music has an amazing testimony. You know it comes from the heart.

Finally!

How many times did I rewind the tape to hear Mother, Muffler, Mozart, & the Beatles? I rarely buy whole albums, but I got so excited when I saw Front Row I clicked without giving it a second thought. David Meece could thrill an audience with just a piano and a mic.
