I've been waiting...
And it's finally here!!! Providence, RI based Howl's first long player on Relapse. This record kills!!! A truly great piece. Buy It... There's no more to say.

brutal slab of metal
glad to see this on a "best of the year" list, as it deserves to be. got this the day it came out, and saw them live at maryland deathfest. this band knows their stuff. this is as heavy as it gets. highly recommended.

Forging a nervous truce between the worlds of progressive sludgecore and metalcore, Providence, RI's Howl were formed in 2006 and consist of vocalist/guitarist Vincent Hausman, guitarist Andrea Black, bassist Robert Icaza, and drummer Timmy St. Amour. The group prioritized touring (with bands like Kylesa and Torche) from the very start, and then broke onto the national stage after self-releasing an eponymous EP and signing a contract with respected extreme metal label Relapse Records.
