hmmm

Oh i love this show. Was an amazing musical. My high school had meant to do it last year. unfortunatly we had some parents complain about the content of the show. (stupid prudes) The sound track is quite wounderful though i myself prefer the version with Nathan Lane. Over all a good soundtrack.

iTunes...

Get the original broadway cast. Or at least get the 1996 revival with Nathan Lane. So many songs were cut from the movie that this can barely even be considered a soundtrack. Here's a list of songs that they cut from the movie:
Love, I Hear (Hero)
Free (Psedelous)
Pretty Little Picture (Psedelous, Hero, Philia)
I'm Calm (Hysterium)
Impossible (Hero, Senex)
Bring Me My Bride (Miles, Psedelous, Company)
That Dirty Old Man (Domina)
That'll Show Him (Philia) (Or, if you were to get the 1996 revival, this would be Echo Song with Phila and Hero)
Funeral Sequence (Miles, Psedelous, Company)
That's 8 songs cut, and the broadway soundtrack has 14. Fix it.

Well Then!

um well just straight to the poinjt AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just love the album the best songs are in my opinion:everybody ought to have a maid, comedy tonight, and lovley(both). So just be sure to chech out those songs! oh and before i close look at the guys and dolls album!

Stephen Sondheim was the most highly regarded composer/lyricist for the musical theater in his generation. Having his first musical produced on Broadway in 1957 and his 14th in 1994, he straddled two eras. The broadly popular musical theater of his early years gradually became a more insular art form, addressing a smaller, more dedicated, more serious audience. This jibed perfectly with the composer's own tendencies. In a sense, he was to the world of show tunes what Bob Dylan was to that of pop...
