iTunes Review

There was once a time when the Chemical Brothers were considered part of a freaky new dimension in music. Now, they sound like grizzled veterans turning up the electronics with maximum force in a world that has acclimated to their whims. Such is the brilliance of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons. “Another World” doesn’t sound like a strange, bizarre galaxy but a welcoming destination that one arrives at through meditational space travel. The opening synths lift heavenward, swerving around the corners until, a little bit more than a minute in, the sound switches up into a bouncy synth riff parked on the moon-surfaced playground. The 12-minute “Escape Velocity” builds at its pace to a stuttering climax of furious beats and psychedelic waves of sound. Its intensity is the result of a thousand scrambling tones coalescing into a formative whole with more than a nod towards the Who’s “Baba O’Riley.” “Horse Power” drives up the pressure for nearly six hypnotic minutes. “Swoon” does as its title implies. For first-rate electronic trips to the edge of the world, start here and hang on.

Chem bros

Easily the best album since come with us. If u are a true chem bro fam, dating back to exit planet dust u will dig this. None of that new age trash they tried doing with their last few albums. To sum it up go ahead and plug in for a true original chem bro experience.

Blown Away

If my ears could have sex...this entire work (and it has to be listened to as a single piece) would be the hour-long sonic orgasm I've needed for years. I love every tripped out, tweaked, epic second of it.

Never a let down

This album will not let you down. If your a true fan of the Chem's, get this album. It has their original feel all over it.

The act with the first arena-sized sound in the electronica movement, the Chemical Brothers united such varying influences as Public Enemy, Cabaret Voltaire, and My Bloody Valentine to create a dance-rock-rap fusion which rivaled the best old-school DJs on their own terms — keeping a crowd of people on the floor by working through any number of groove-oriented styles featuring unmissable samples, from familiar guitar riffs to vocal tags to various sound effects. And when the duo (Tom Rowlands...
