Customer Reviews

A big, little surprise! If you're reading this, you could already be listening to the Queen

I saw and heard Queen Ifrica, last summer at the Legendary Beachcomber beachclub/nightclub, on Cape Cod. She was on a bill with(respected Jamaican Reggae producer) Tony Rebel, and his Roots Crewe (5 of his sons). When this petite, gorgeous woman gracefully ascended the stage, and started her set, she took control of the entire coastline. All of the richness of her high-tenor crooning and wailing, along with the party fire she can set, and her potent message of strength and empowerment are nicely represented on this collection, on which she moves authentically and easily from tough, greasy Roots to party-up Dancehall. Put this on if I'm invited!

love

i mus admit i love queen ifrica and her good vibing cultural music, the album is really good by the way. jah

good mix of roots and ragga

The album is not great start to finish, but there are a few key tracks: "Genocide", "Sensimina", and "What Is Life" are my favorites. Queen Ifrica has a pretty cool sound, and the above mentioned songs are great for a party playlist.

Despite the song's disturbing subject matter, it was...
