Man, I can't keep up with all the fresh music coming out of this camp. Apollo Brown is destroying the game. This is already one of my favorites! THE LEFT is bananas

This is the pre-album ep before The Left, comprised of Detroit producer Apollo Brown, Emcee Journalist 103 (as heard on Proof's "Broken"), and DJ SokO. The official album drops October 26th titled "GAS MASK". Many have been calling it the real ALBUM OF THE YEAR in the underground with heavy praise coming from Bloggerhouse, HipHopDx, and many other influential sites. Apollo Brown is clearly poised to take the Producer of the Year award after having bombed on the game with The Reset, Brown Study (w/Boog Brown), and now his group opus (The Left).

Years Active: '80s, '90s

Though their base of Hagerstown, MD, put them off the map of most media that track even emerging alternative bands, the Left made an EP and an LP of near-hardcore punk in the mid-'80s that attracted some critical attention before breaking up. A little more flexible in their rhythms, influences, and melodies than the standard punk-hardcore band of the era, the Left nevertheless fit more or less within that genre with their wiry, speedy, fuzzy songs, sarcastic angry lyrics, and surly vocals.
