Good

I was skeptical about this song seeing how Dimmu is only 3 people nowadays, but the song turned out pretty damn good.I was wondering how they would sound without Vortex, and Mustis i am not disappointed!Good work Dimmu cannot wait to get my hands on the album.

Nay Sayers be gone

Its incredible the literal 50/50 divide amongst the Dimmu fan base over the vortex controversy. Yes Vortex had the voice of a Viking god that chills you to the bone. But after listening to the vortex version and then listening to the current version I have to say the latter was truly the right choice. Listening to the Vortex version I was overcome with the obvious familiarity of his voice as I "expected". Then after listening to the new version with the tweaked woman vocals I realized that Dimmu has reinvented themselves by rebirthing freshness into their sound that is critical for any accomplished artist!. And all the hardcore black metal fans out there complaining about the production value???? What the h%%% are you talking about??? I know you want it to sound as if it were recorded with a hand held recorder but this is truly an amazing piece of work on the merit of just one song. The third song into the albulm mind you. Listening to it now it is f(***^% brilliant! People who hate this hate great music should not open their mouths for you are an idiot that has no idea what good music is or sounds like. Dimmu you have truly surpassed expectations and have made the right choices. This is coming from an artist in the film and music industry out in California that has had success and knows what it takes to produce even a tiny ounce of what you have accomplished here. Mark my words this albulm is going to usher in a new wave of fans of Dimmu Borgir and the nay sayers will wither and die forgotten as a dead cow.

Absolute crap

Been a dimmu fan for ever and I must say I'm extremely disappointed in this album(found a leaked version... Glad I didn't pay a cent) doused like an orchestra with an over powered didgeridoo thrown in. Honestly the last track of the album was the only semi listenable track. Def gonna delete the tracks and skip the album...

Biography

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

Blending black metal's most brutal tendencies, the melancholic beauty of opera, and industrial metal's production techniques, Dimmu Borgir carved a niche in the metal world as one of the most savage and creative acts to hail from the Norwegian scene. The group first started in 1993, when members Shagrath (vocals), Erkekjetter Silenoz (guitar), and Tjodalv (guitar and drums) came together to join the emerging metal scene. Although some groups like Emperor and Mayhem had already been making noise for...
