Amazing sound
This album was recorded in the Congolese jungle on an Apple PowerBook hooked up to a car battery and a solar panel! The proceeds raised from album sales will go straight back to the Baka people, which is great news!
Puts you in a good mood no matter what!!
Listened to this album on a lark and now even the non dancers, and non african music aficionados in my circle can't stop tapping their toes. This music is relaxing and uplifiting at once. Wonderful rhythms. A great way to wake up, come home from work and mellow out at sunset - in short good all day. Add that to the fact that each album sold will help the Baka pygmies of Cameroon - and then tell me it's not worth buying. I dare anyone to listen to the title song and not start dancing. Any group of people who make music this good deserve not only recognition but preservation. Go ahead...just listen to it!!
a musical revelation
What incredible good fortune to have stumbled across this music.....truly outstanding....fascinating rhythms, great vocals, etc. Hard to stay still when you are listening to this music. You will not be disappointed. Don't bother trying to pluck a song or two - - they are ALL terrific and I highly recommend that you download all of them. Have fun.
