Glorious
Gears of War was known for its simply amazing, over the top, epic score and Gears of war 2's soundtrack undoubtedly follows suit. The songs will keep your heart pounding right up until the very end, introducing a variety of of different sounds to your ears, some encouraging, others desperate and brutal, all of the songs being of the highest quality. You get twenty three quality songs for ten dollars, what are you waiting for?
A professional's touch
Evaluating the soundtrack aside from its inclusion in the game, the moody, atmospheric score will still stand tall with any great Hollywood sci-fi. When you first start listening, you immediately notice the extensive polish this version has versus the original Gears of War tracks. You can tell that the years of working in Hollywood has given Jablonsky an edge when writing a moving score for an epic game. The cues are tight, transitions are smooth and he does a great job of building tension throughout the score. If you are a Jablonsky fan, you certainly don't want to miss this one, but you will hear an undeniable connection to his Transformers soundtrack, complete with a machine-like choral accompaniment, with a much cleaner version of the original Gears theme mixed in. Most of the tracks will serve well for background tracks for the type of gameplay Gears is known for, but some stand out and give the game an extra boost, such as 'Bedlam's building tension or the despair of 'With Sympathy'. Overall, this is a great soundtrack from a phenomenal composing talent; a great entry point for anyone new to game or movie soundtracks.

Well as expected Steve delivers! After much anticipation, the score is released and stays true with the original sounds as well as adds an entire new direction with his talented writing ability. I love it! Thanks again Steve! Looking forward to TRANSFORMERS 2!
