Incredible!

by Bunbury46

Forgive Durden has such a great sound to it, and this musical is by all means a MASTERPIECE.
I can't choose a favorite track from this, so I'll describe each one...

"Genesis"- 9/10 Fantastic opening, Casey Crescenzo has a strong voice, very powerful song.

"The Missing Piece"- 9.7/10 Pulls off a great, deep, romantic song without any hint of cheesiness you see in other love songs you see these days. It's one of my favorites!

"Life is Looking Up"- 8.5/10 Great instrumentals in this song, beautiful lyrics too. Personally, I think it drags on just a bit, but I still love it!

"The Spider and the Lamps"- 9.7/10- Stunning vocals by Max Bemis, very suspenseful and leaves an uneasy feeling inside; it's that good.

"Toba the Tura"- 10/10 Definitely has potential to be the best track on here. The instrumentals, vocals, and lyrics are amazing. Very powerful; it drips with emotion and regret.

"The Oracle"- 9/10 I find myself very attached to the chorus of this song. Very meaningful and full of spirit, especially in certain places.

"A Hundred-Year, Minute-Long Intermission"- 7.5/10 Beautiful chorus singing, though I'd prefer it were longer and had instrumentals.

"The Exit"- 9.5/10 This is the first song that caught my attention when I saw this album. The instrumentals are gorgeous, and the vocals seem to drift between scorn, desire, and warning.

"It's True Love"- 8.5/10 This song doesn't have the simplicity and sweetness that "The Missing Piece" had, but it is very beautiful regardless.

"Meet the King"- 7.5/10 I don't find myself attracted to this song much at all, but there are certain pieces to the song that redeem it. I do enjoy the vocals, too.

"Holy the Sea"- 10/10 Another one of my favorites. The piano ties in beautifully with the orchestra, and the song keeps me fully interested and captivated, despite it being the longest track.

"Doctor Doctor"- 8/10 Dear GOD. This song sincerely frightens me, but for some reason I find myself wanting to listen to it more. Shawn Harris is so talented; the vocals are what makes this song so damn CREEPY.

"The End and the Beginning"- 8.5/10 Dramatic and suspenseful ending to a great soundtrack. For reasons I won't mention (due to spoilers) I don't particularily care for the actual ending to the story. Seems to leave me feeling unsatisfied. But it does tie in tidbits from "The Exit" and "The Missing Piece", which I like.

Please buy this album! You will not be disappointed!

Part Music. Part Story. All Incredible.

In a world where every band seems to be singing about the same situations, Razia's Shadow is a breath of fresh air. Each song is beautifully written and more unique than the rest. The characters are orginial, you stop whatever you're doing to listen to the narrator's words, you feel the pain, love, and loss expressed in each song. Therefore, this is not just a piece of music, but a beautifully woven story. Not to mention, the collaborations with Greta from the Hush Sound, Max Bemis from Say Anything, Brandon Urie from Panic at the Disco, and more are an alternative lover's fan. There needs to be more albums like this in the music world. Yet if there were, I'm sure they would not top Razia's Shadow.

Absolutely Fantastic.

I was on FueledbyRamen.com one day and was looking at the artists and happened to see Forgive Durden. I had never heard them before so I decided to listen to them. I clicked on this CD and had started listening to it and I have never been so impressed. This album is fantastic, the songs are so cathy and the lyrics are so full of meaning it's absoltely amazing. This is definitely a treat for the ears. Hear it for yourself this will not disappoint.
