AMAZING CD, AMAZING LIVE!
Tim Be Told played at a 3-day convention that i went to every morning and every evening. they were absolutely amazing live, and honestly, one of the best, if not THE best live band i've seen in a VERY long time. their voices and instruments are so unique and refreshing. i highly recommend their CD to anyone who appreciates music :) i've also met the band during the convention, and they're all very down to earth, awesome guys.
INFALLIBLE
why aren't these guys famous yet?? damn can this guy sing! and this may be heresy but the guitarist may be one of the best on this planet. gasp. if you're into music with soul and lyrics with depth, then you need to add this to your collection. just listen to the way all the instruments comes together in 'dirty shoes'...especially that beginning lick on the keyboard....so damn jazzy! collision is a song that oozes with the singer/songwriter's soul....you almost feel like you're the one going through the emotional episode. passion and soul blanket most of these songs; you won't find a single meaningless track. i usually like 5 tracks at the most on an entire CD, but every track on tim be told's album is great...so addicting you just dont stop listening. but if you had to ask, my favorites in no particular order are: dirty shoes, all of me, steady on, ordinary, the hymn, and gravity's hold. stop reading this and buy the album already.
Even better live
I had the privilege of hearing Tim Be Told live this week - simply put, they're one of the best new bands out there. Tim and his band are so talented, both lyrically, musically, and vocally. They have the passion to be more than just a band, and it's incredible.
