iTunes Review
Ghostface has always been a ‘70s soul man at heart, and as he nears 40, he's finally found the courage to release an album solely consisting of emotional R&B rap. Almost all of Ghost’s work tilts towards old soul records, so Ghostdini isn’t just about the thrill of hearing vintage samples — though it is nice to hear premium selections from long lost artists like Yvonne Fair, Norman Feels, and Love, Peace & Happiness. The album is more about Ghost’s mindset. What he takes from R&B is a license to expose himself. Of course, Ghost’s version of vulnerable isn’t harmless. “Stapleton Sex” is a fantasy worthy of Penthouse Forum, while “Guest House” is a hyper-detailed narrative about philandering in which Fabolous and Shareefa play the culprits. Still, even when he’s talking foul, Ghost’s approach is so liberated that every song exudes his special brand of sincerity. And even though Ghostdini avoids showing a softer Ghostface, he still delivers some of hip-hop’s most touching love notes in the form of “Baby,” “Stay,” and “Paragraphs of Love.”

He's Done It again!!! By Chris Fantom myspace.com/phantasmford
For almost a decade Ghostface Killah has been cementing himself as the most consistent and musically dynamic member of The Wu-Tang clan, while setting himself apart from everyone else inside hip hop. This album is a great representation of lyrical ability and storytelling. Be it Ghost taking you into the "guest house", where he find his woman cheating on him. Or him becoming transparent while pointing out his faults and regrets on "do over". He even shows his sensitive side, being supportive while his woman is on the verge of birthing his child on "baby" Which is my favorite song on the album. What makes Wizard of Poetry in the Emerald City so unique, is that it has club bangers like "I'll be that", while having soulful j-dilla-esque production like "stay". Ghost shows us that he is truly a unique artist, with a unique approach and musical vision. He also continues to prove that he has a keen ear for quality beats and themes for his music. This album may not sell much in todays rap market, but it's a must have album!

Ghostface Killah: Arguably the most consistent member of the Wu-Tang Clan - Track-for-track review:
The Wu-Tang Clan is my favorite hip-hop group of all time so maybe I went into this album being a bit biased, but this is a solid release. Though Ghostface isn't my favorite member, he's definitely the most consistent. Ironman, Supreme Clientele, The Pretty Toney Album, Bulletproof Wallets, Fishscale, More Fish, Big Doe Rehab, etc. are all at the very least decent albums. Ghost went for an R&B approach on this album and it worked out surprisingly well. Pretty much every track is about the females whether it's for better or for worse. I've only listened to the album about twice so far, but here's a quick track for track review so you get the main idea.
1. Not Your Average Girl - Good opening to the album. Solid beat and Ghost's flow is on point as always. 3/5
2. Do Over - One of the better ones on the album. Has a steady pace, energetic when needed and an overall solid track. About him cheating and whatnot and asking for a "do over". 4/5
3. Baby - The first single off the album. A very laidback and mellow track. Not the best but not anything to skip over either. 3.5/5
4. Lonely - I like the beat a lot, chorus is a bit mellowdramatic, but oh well. Nothing too impressive here, but again, nothing to skip over either. 3/5
5. Stapleton Sex - Ghost talking about what he enjoys rapping about the most: sex. And you best believe he goes into great detail about it. And when I say "great", I mean GREAT. Definitely worth a listen... I suppose. 3.5/5
6. Stay - One of my favorite tracks on the album. Very nice beat, suits the mood of the track perfectly. I highly recommend checking this one out. It captures the whole mood he's trying to portray on this album. 5/5
7. Paragraphs of Love - Not the best track but one of the better ones. The title pretty much tells you what it's about. Check this one out anyways. 3.5/5
8. Guest House - If you were getting into the whole lovey-dovey vibe for the past couple track it's about to go right out the window. This and Stapleton Sex are the 2 tracks that aren't all positive, but this one's worth a listen for sure. 3.5/5
9. Let's Stop Playin' - Pretty solid track. The title says it all - Ghost telling a girl to "cut the crap" and to handle their biz. Shows off his wordplay quite nicely. 3.5/5
10. Forever - This and Stay are my 2 favorite tracks on the album. I definitely recommend this one most definitely. My favorite beat on the album and it has a great vibe. 5/5
11. I'll Be That - I'm not completely sure why, but the chorus on this one irritates the hell out of me. This is one of the tracks I could do without. It's not horrible by any means, but nothing that will add positively to Ghost's resume either. 2.5/5
12. Goner - Nothing too special here. Pretty bland beat and it lacks any real pizzaz I guess you could say. Again, it's not horrible, just not one of the ones I'll be bumpin'. 2.5/5
13. She's a Killah - Little disappointed to have the album end on this note.. I would of preferred to have something like Forever or Stay be the finale to a solid album, instead we get an auto-tuned chorus, typical mainstream vibe type of song. I know I'm sounding redundant... it's not horrible, just not something I'll be bumpin'.
Overall: 8/10
I'm giving this album 5 stars because I want to support real artists like members from the Wu-Tang Clan, etc. This release definitely cemented Ghost as the most consistent member of the Wu. (In my oppinion) I recommend checking this one out for sure... as well as Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Pt. II.
