You write a better song than Fortune..... Yeah, you can't do it, no one can.

These guys write unbelievably great songs. Plain and simple.

Should I have expected anything else?

There's no doubt in my mind that the Marked Men are one of the best bands in existence today. They've done it again with "Ghosts." Simply amazing. I'm having a hard time staying still just listening to it.

Wish they had more time

The Marked Men don't stray too far off the path with their 4th release, "Ghosts", and that is part of the problem. They have a pretty high watermark to be as good as "On the Outside", or the last record, "Fix My Brian". While some of the songs are fantastic, "Fortune", "All In Your Head", "Blew My Head", too many of the others are just ho-hum. Jeff's songs continue to outshine Mark's songs as on previous releases, but Mark does pull a coop on "Head Set". Rumor has it that these guys rushed the recording, in order to finish before Jeff left for Japan. And if that is the case, it really shows. Just a bit more time spent on these songs could have made them a lot better. There is not as much interplay between the guitars as there was in the past. The recording itself is not as good as "Fix My Brain". But, if this is your first foray into the Marked Men, I still recommmend it. Then go back and buy the older stuff.
