Why isn't everyone listening to this?

When you stumble upon a band like this it's really refreshing. This is a great album and Mando Diao certainly helps redeem modern music's trite reputation.

I don't think these guys are promoted in the US like they should be. I know their popular in Europe, but still, it's a shame they dont get attention here.

Pure talent. Disctinct sound & soul to their music. Worth buying the album.

Reminiscent of a ton of others

Every song sample I listened to was pretty darn good but reminded me of a lot of other bands from the ages past though I can't put my fingers on it exactly. Though there is no doubt they are European. There's some Stone Roses, some Hives, some Rolling Stones; it's all good. Then again there's some Strokes and Walkmen influences in there as well.

Finally!!!!

I bought this album the month it came out (Feb. 2009). There is no way a band like Mando Diao should have their album come out over 2 years after it's original release date. If this band got a little more exposure here, they would no doubt be one of the most popular alternative bands in the US. Their albums are masterpieces, without a single 'down' track. Give Me Fire is a great album, although, it is my least favourite Mando Diao album. This should say something about their music.....

The band's germination dates back to 1995, when singer/songwriter/keyboardist Daniel Häglund and singer/songwriter/guitarist Björn Dixgärd were in a band called Butler. Even after that group broke up, the pair continued playing and writing together, eventually bringing bassist Fredrik Nilsson, guitarist Gustaf Noren,...
