Great Band. Great Music.
Outstanding!! I love the heart in this song.
This song, this album, this band, is anointed
The title of this song caught my attention from the beginning. Maybe I was searching for peace in my soul after going through the many storms in my life over the past few years. The storms...sometimes, I don't think they'll ever stop rolling in and I thought I may never understand God's purpose for putting me through so much more than I should be expected to handle and come out with any sort of sanity or faith left within me. These storms were bad enough to include the most tragic of events that one could name in their "worst things that could ever happen to me" scenario's, including: the death of a child, adultery in the "I never saw it coming, fairy tale" marriage, foreclosure of the family home, a serious cut in pay, major health problems and doctors visits, and a continuing 7 year battle with Social Security for diability benefits.
Recently, after praying for God to help me understand why He would put me through all of these things with nothing to show for it, He told me something fabulous. He laid it on my heart that He doesn't put me through those situations but, He doesn't recue me from them either. He just prays for my faithfulness to remain strong. I will not forsake Him. No matter how far I travel from Him, I will always return and no matter how upset I get with Him, it doesn't mean I don't love Him.
This song spoke to me on so many levels. The first verse spoke to me as a mother sitting next to her child in a hospital bed and the rest of the song, I related to as the Lord spoke to me telling me I am chosen for my faithfulness. It may have taken me a few years of being angry with Him, but He knew the outcome. He knew I would return. My storms are not to make me a victim of life's tragedies but, are battle scars of all the times my Lord has earned the victory as He's pulled me through because He has faith in ME. He thinks I AM beautiful because He created me that way. I am His warrior princess because that is how He created me to be. He needs survivors to spread the word of His perfect love, and what better way than with someone that's experienced a lot of stormy weather.
