Amazing
Philip Glass' music is simply gorgeous. The haunting - yet simple - themes will captivate you and lull you into a trance of wonder. This album does not disappoint. It's great music to listen to when you're in a blue mood, when you're working, or when you're in the mood for something amazing. I recommend anyone to experience the wonder that is Philip Glass.
Glass Perfection
This collection is the perfect thing to listen to for those who are just discovering the beauty of Glass. His transforming minimalist structures create a sound so profoundly peaceful, you'll be haunted by it long after you've turned off your iPod.
Haunting, meditative and gorgeous
Based on the little I knew about Philip Glass before I heard this recording, I thought I was in for repetitive, grating music. I was pleased to discover that my preconceptions (as preconceptions often are) were dead wrong. "Solo Piano" is a calming piece of music. It is the thing I listen to most when I am working. Listening to the record feels like meditation, as though one is hearing a stream flow over rocks. It is quite beautiful and an ideal introduction to Glass.
