AWESOME
From the first play, I loved this album. The intro on He Will Rejoice launches into a punchy bluegrass fingerpicking melody that hooked me instantly. The entire album follows suit.with sprinklings of some brilliant fiddle, mandolin and bajos that create a warm and encouraging collection that leaves you smiling. Personally, I found "Who Is Like You" to be the most addictive one in the bunch. The melody and the simple, blending of the mandolin with acoustic guitars has left me singing this tune in my head all the time. Restore To Me is a beautiful song from a Psalm I've always loved and the added bridge is amazing. DO NOT be fooled by the "compiliation" type format. This is an amazing, well thought out delivery from a group of very talented artists.
how do you play a cardboard box?
i saw this here on itunes yesterday and had no clue what it was - most compilations seem to be fillers but this cd is fantastic. i went and picked up a copy last night and have been listening to it ever since. love the americana sound. great instruments, lots of strings. its a good driving across the country album or something to put you to sleep (but in a good way. and not at the same time as driving across the country.)
Love the Scripture... Love the Bluegrass Undertones
This is a great album. Great musicians, great vocalists... great songwriting. Great stuff to listen to while journaling/reading. As you can see "great" is the theme here. If you like old Shane and Shane, Caedmon's and Passion stuff you'll love this.
