Second best

First of all, just because Mr. Cobain liked this band, doesn't mean they are grunge. Sure it has it's moments like those bands sounded, but The Jesus Lizard is a hardcore, punk, noise rock band that was completely original. I like Nirvana a bit, but let's keep them out of this alright. Besides the amazing screaming, and outstanding drumming, Duane's guitar palying is a highlight. The man and this band are underrated. Get this if you like insane noise music that rocks, this band is insane and I love it!

This album still blows my mind

I was on tour when I first heard this album. I was in the back of the van driving from One show to the next listening to tapes with our guitarist and the drummer for the Chainsaw Kittens who'd come along for the ride and by the time Mouthbreather was in full swing we were just looking at each other like, "why do we even bother?"
From that moment on I was hooked. Then we lucked into playing the night after them at one venue and the manager gave a VHS copy of their show the night before touring for GOAT.
The production of this record shouldn't be forgotten. To my way of thinking it's the best of the best and something I still reference as a recording engineer.

First hehe
