Customer Reviews

Too bad they're finished.

No sophomore slump, this album is memorable front to back. "I Don't Want to Be Down" takes the crown in my opinion, followed by the title track. If you're looking to shave a buck off the price, leave **** off the list. It's basically a jam track crudely recorded. It's fun if you're a die-hard fan, but skippable for the rest of us.

A Fitting Swan Song

Unfortunately, this is the last release from First Wave Hello, but it's a good note for them to end on. With just 7 tracks, "God Bless, Devil You" isn't too long or self-indulgent. Every track is good, but the one that sold me was definitely "Mitchel" after I heard it on their MySpace profile. I'm glad I got to see them live before they broke up (on the Ken Andrews/Charlotte Martin 'Never Say Never' tour), and I'm even happier I got to meet their singer who gave me a free copy of "The Lord and Its Penguin." This is a great band that I'm happy to support, even in the wake of their demise.

Unforgettable!

Fun and inspiring band, Jacob writes such amazing songs that have real depth to them. Absolutely one of a kind. :)
