Album Review

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir set the standard for choral gospel, and this album is no exception. The arrangements are tight, although at times the orchestrations get a bit overwrought. The soloists are excellent but never overpowering. At times the album doesn't feel like a live album; it feels more like a studio recording with the audience blended in when appropriate. Including the audience more would have given the album a more authentic feel, but all in all, this album is as close as you can get to actually being there.
