Awesome-ness
Mainly got it for Raw Dog, and Dream Theater did not disappoint there- at all.
Raw Dog not raw- burning hot!
This is only a track review of Dream Theater- Raw Dog. Great Dream Theater track and it will hold fans over for a while. The onset of the track is all over the place and almost scattered, but you really hear all the band members just beating away on their instruments. In perfect Dream Theater fashion, the track pulls together to find a real pounding groove. Both Jordan and JP are really on fire here, just providing great riff after riff. Portnoy and Myung provide the groove and bring this together as a great DT instrumental track. The soaring vocals of James Labrie are missed, but it is also a nice gift to have a new DT track to add to the collection. In what is perhaps a nod to "Pull Me Under," "Raw Dog" abruptly ends... just like this review.
Great EP
These songs are (mostly) amazing =D
My Obsession - 8/10, It sounds like KsE I know and love, but its forgettable
Shattering the Skies Above- 11/10 Best song on the EP its unlike any Trivium song I've ever heard
Raw Dog - 7/10 - Its an instrumental, but it feels like it ends too abruptly
This Is Madness - 5/10 - Singer really ruins the song, the weakest song on the EP
The Throat Of Winter- 10/10 - A Beautiful song
The End - ?/10 I can't really rate this, its not my taste
In All: A very solid EP, worth a purchase (:
