$1.99 Really??

I've got a new lyric to add to fruitcakes!! I don't want a $1.99 Itunes song!!

Great song and a fair price

Look - it's a great song with some history. Paying $2 for 10 minutes of music is a bargain...normally we pay $10 for 40 minutes - check it out. But the good news is you don't have to buy it. It's a choice. But, if you want to hear some hilarious talking blues done extremely well, part with the money. This is an era where dinner for two can top $100. Compared to some of those, this is a deal. Oh, and have you bought concert tickets recently? $300 later my wife and I will see Bubba in Denver....and these aren't front row seats. It was just as expensive to see Chesney and I'd pay that again to see Michael Franti. I'm old enough to remember five cent soft drinks but wise enough to know that era (along with my youth) is gone and not returning. But, in spite of the inflation, I'm still having a great time!

Just not feeling it

Used to be I'd jump at anything JB but now oversaturation and over priced merchandise has really turned me off. This is an ok version of an ok song and sure, it's only $1.99 but it's more than the norm and I'm tired of it. Tired of $300 blenders and $30 flip flops. Take me back to the simple times of good music, salt on my glass and my feet in the sand, the way Margaritaville was meant to be. I'm not biting on this one and my fins are sinking low.

Jimmy Buffett translated his easygoing Gulf Coast persona into more than just a successful recording career — he expanded into clothing, nightclubs, and literature — but the basis of the business empire that kept him on the Fortune magazine list of highest-earning entertainers was his music. Born in southern Mississippi and raised in Alabama, Buffett moved to Nashville to try to make it in country music in the late '60s. After signing to the Barnaby label, he released one album, 1970's...
