Unseen Talent

The Donnas' fame has faded, but this is their best album yet. If you look at where they've been, and look at how they're doing now, it's amazing how much they've improved. The lyrics are more mature, but they still have the same flavor and phrasing that gives them life. And the instrumentals are growing, too. I see no reason why the Donnas only have seven reviews. Maybe their grunge rock and roll appeal has faded, but listen. THE DONNAS STILL ROCK. They don't need momentum to get their fans into their music. This type of music is not just a hit for a week. Two days ago I didn't really know who the Donnas were, now I can easily say that they are my favorite female rock group. Not neccessarily my favorite musicians ever, but definitley favorite female group.I don't need to know all the words to their songs to know that the Donnas are more than just teenage rock n' roll machines. They are true artists, and their music needs to be heard. Buy it, because you will be sorry if you don't. Seriously.

hey I like fall behind me and um... i need to look at the songs for a sec... have you no pride is cool too. I am surprised that there are only 4 reviews (at least there were when i wrote this)! Gosh! Does anyone like the Donnas?? they're not like my favorite band or anything but they are pretty good!!

The Donnas have outdone themselves by a mile with this album Gold Medal is the best female rock n roll album of all time! Aspiring to nothing more than a good old-fashioned rock & roll party, the Donnas won a cult following and considerable media attention in the late '90s after scoring a record deal right out of high school. Early on, they were invariably described as "the Ramones meet the Runaways," with a definite emphasis on the former (they'd even adopted identical first names as a tribute). But their bratty high-school-delinquent image was clearly indebted to the latter, as their songs concerned themselves...
