Album Review
The expansive Gold series that Universal has been reissuing keeps on trucking along, this time making a pit stop in the Great White North to celebrate Canada's finest rock exports. While there have been dozens of greatest-hits compilations featuring Bachman-Turner Overdrive, they have all had minor flaws, glaring omissions, or even the most heinous of crimes: the re-recording of classics. Gold remedies that by featuring 35 tracks of hard-rocking goodness spanning the prime years of the band's career. All of the recognizable radio hits are nestled in between lesser-known album rock tracks, digitally remastered and carefully packaged with extensive liner notes detailing the band's every moment of glory. It has everything the diehard could want on two discs, and while its length may be overwhelming for listeners just being introduced to the band, it is most likely all the BTO they would ever need in their collections.

AWESOME
by Ewik BayweeI've been listening to BTO for decades and these no doubt are the best hits they have ever had. You probly don't know about many of these songs, but if you like Let It Ride, You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet and Takin' Care of Business you will abolutely love the rest of these songs. Make you wanna tap your foot, sing along music that you will love to death.
CLASSIC ROCK & ROLL, AS GOOD AS IT GETS
by superjeffGuess Who + Lynyrd Skynyrd + Foghat = BTO. Awesome compilation by an awesome rock band. I rank them with 70's greatest acts. I'm not a fan of compilations of excellent bands. You get the radio tracks and loose the rest, often the best songs. Not with Gold. You get 15 or so Radio hits and the 20 best songs that aren't hits. Hold back the Water, Stayed Awake All Night and Thank you for the Feeling are songs as great as Let it Ride, Hey You and Roll on Down the Highway. BTO makes your feet tap and you find yourself singing along. Gold is the best choice for a BTO album that highlights their entire career.
BTO Gold Rocks , Its about time for this!
by Toothy1Since there's really no modern "rock" , it's about time this was released.
Some of their best ,along with some rare cuts I've never heard, all of them
good, as before. If you're a BTO fan you've got to have this. When you get sick of listening to the radio, this will definitely lift your mood.
