Joey Ryan = Unknown Sensation
Judging by the release date this album has flown under everyone's radar for a very long time (I love finding an artist's awesome first album before they're famous!!). I heard about Joey Ryan from a good friend that writes for Pitchfork who had just previously heard about this album from a girlfriend who's obsessed with One Tree Hill. I guess the folks at CW just discovered him (and sounds like Pitchfork did as well)...Anyways I love this album. Joey Ryan's subtle and understated melodies grab you and do not let go. "Just a love song" kinda makes me want to call all of my ex-girlfriends and get back together with them all at the same time! HA! Joey's music is evocative, catchy, and heart felt. I hear he's got a new album coming out in the Spring but I need more time to enjoy this one. You gained 1 new fan in Mitch Walker.

Joey's lyrics are wonderful. He writes with true emotions that touch your heart. The music is beautiful and wholesome.
