Amber stretches her wings...and it still works!
Amber's new release is a great album of folkie-based music with plenty of other influences (pop, blues, etc) to help form Amber's vision into her own special brand of entertainment.
"Edge of My Seat" and "Good Mystery" are great album starters, because they are true Amber tunes. Her sense of humor is a bit more muted in this album (with the exception of "Wish We'd Gotten Drunk"), but her song-writing chops are on excellent display. Answer is about wanting her former love to answer the phone just so she could tell him to bugger off (apparently that is what the ladies call "closure"...us guys just don't get it...hehe). Full Moon of Paris is her smoky blues tune that's a bit too brief but damn near my fave tune on the album...again, cool lyrics.
Amber's going to land on the big stage some day, and it's been a treat watching her grow as an artist. Get this album....it's a keeper.

I love this album because it is honest and human. There are songs about being in love (the good part of the bad side and the bad part of the good side), a lovely instrumental that I can't get over (The Stairwell), fun songs about drinking (or not!) and the groovy title track. They all make you want to dance, or to write in a diary or go on a walk because life is so freakin' good. Thanks for the super stuff, Amber. and come back to SF. :)
AMAZING!!!!
This girl is so very very talented! Not only that, but she is absolutely hilarious in the process! Every song is saturated with her voice, distinctive because of her unique dipthong emphasis. Don't hesitate to buy this album. This girl is amazing!
