Great album all the way around!
I imagine Little Johnny and his mother going to visit grandpa at the retirement home, and grandpa saying, "Johnny, why don't you turn that iPod off and visit with me a bit, what are you listening to that's so great anyway?" Johnny would say, "It's the new Blood Feathers album... it's awesome. Mom even likes it." "Oh, yeah?," Grandpa would grumble with a look of skepticism across his wrinkled brow, "Then why haven't I ever heard of 'em. Give me those ear speakers." His mom would give a knowing nod, and Johnny, cautiously optimistic, would turn over his ear buds. A minute later, grandpa begins tapping his toes in a rhythmic manner that draws from his younger years, when he was a well-considered dancer of the Lindy Hop. "Say, this is good. Too bad they don't make stuff like this to fit my record player anymore." "Oh, but they do, grandpa. The vinyl version is coming out on January 12." "Well then, you'll have to pick me up one. No, pick me up three; these folks around here have sticky fingers, and I reckon this record will do me wonders with the ladies."
Goodness Gracious-I am a huge FAN!
Combing rock, blues, blue grass, and some unique unmatched vocals, this album is a must buy of the New Year. It’s so creative and bold; one of the best pieces of original art I have heard in a long time. Its combination of Dylan like styles with a Johnny Cash innovative feel gives the listener something fresh and new, yet they feel like a band I have know all my life. The music is so easy to catch onto and I find myself singing I don’t want no Sugar in Bed throughout my day. Get this album!
Goodness Gracious Indeed
I confess that most Indie music leaves me at the gate but this album has the comfortable feel of Rock and Roll for people of a Certain Age, with the easy lyrical tones and make you want to dance rhythm that makes you smile. Very nice music.
