Atmospheric and dark
I feel no regrets after buying this album. The songs are mastered very well, and yet the sound is raw. The vocals are underplayed and don't dominate the track. Every instrument has its own unique sound, especially the guitar distortion, which is extremely thick. I've used these songs a number of times as lullabies to get to sleep. They make for a good change when you listen to a lot of fast death metal.
Inheritors of the Blazebirth Hall Legacy
I hear a lot of people comparing this album to Drudkh for some reason, and I've got to say thatr you all need to listen a little bit more closely to the music here. Walknut is a continuation of the ideals of Blazebirth Hall composition as laid down by bands like Branikald, Raven Dark, and Forest: deep, dark oceans of blackened droning melody emanate over a bed of minimalist percussion with little regard to accesibility, memorability, or any other basic rock music tropes. Recommended if you enjoy Burzum, any of the LLN bands, or any of the Blazebirth Hall stuff.
a great dark contemplation of evil
ths is an amazing album.its got a depressive deep tone to everything. and everything flows together so well. this is a great cd to sit in the dark and slit the wrists to. and if you listen closely and hard it will send you into a completly other deminsion. this is one of my all time favorite cds.
