What worship is truly meant to be...
As a worship leader, I obviously seek out songs that hold a special anointing, that are truth in melody. Even so, rarely have I encountered songs such as this. Jared Anderson may have written the lyrics down on paper, but these words and thoughts are God-breathed, seemingly straight from the Throne Room of Heaven itself. Great I Am transcends genre, transcends generation. If this sounds like a strongly spoken review, it's because it IS. I believe this will be one of the greatest worship anthems of this time. God-inspired and God-focused... what worship is truly meant to be.
For The Lamb
May this not just be a song we sing or get excited about, but worshipping our Lord and getting excited about Him!!!! For He is worthy and deserves the praise and all the Glory, forever and ever! I am so thankful for my church. New Life is so devoted to working towards advancing the Kingdom for his glory! Such a blessing!
Great I Am--teaching us to worship in spirit and truth...
We will worship in heaven as part of our incredible eternity with the Lord. But God is using songs as these to teach me the preciousness of worship long before I experience the heaven I so struggle to envision in my humanness. Thank-you Lord for gifts you graciously give to the body of Christ to encourage and build us up a little bit closer to the measure of the stature of Jesus. (Thank-you also New Life leaders, for letting Christ be seen in you as you help expand God's kingdom.) Darkness receding--that's something to praise an all-powerful God for!
