Top-shelf dubstep for 2009
This is innovative stuff, with little of the desolation of Burial, and more of the two-step/upbeat vibe that exists in related genres. I tip my hat to Martyn, for crafting an album that is as good on headphones as it is at a party!
Every track is amazing in its own little way
Low key, deep, yet uplifting. Perfect for the hardcore dubstep fans and those that have never heard the word dubstep before. I had heard a number of these tracks here and there in a variety of mixes. Then, I stumble upon the album and realize, wow, ONE guy made all of these tracks. Each track in it of itself, even the 2 min 'fillers,' are truly beautiful and amazing in their own little way. I also think the album as a whole is ordered perfectly, listening through is a journey, as trite as that might sound. Make sure you have headphones with good bass ;)
