iTunes Review

One of hip-hop's most unique and instantly recognizable voices, Yonkers hero DMX was amongst the most popular and commercially successful MCs in the game throughout the late ‘90s and early ‘00s. His bark-infused flow, ultra-aggro style, and lyrics that were alternately bloodthirsty and spiritual won him fans all around the world, and helped him sell many millions of albums. Greatest Hits With a Twist is really two separate collections – the first half is a straight-up chronological mix of all his biggest singles, while the second half is a dozen remixes, most of them giving his songs a frantic, techno-style treatment, with freaky blip-beeps and racing BPMs. Either way, this includes all the classics; "Ruff Ryder Anthem," "Slippin'," "Party Up (Up In Here)," etc.

THUGA-REFFIC!!!

I've been an avid DMX fan ever since I've seen the movie, Exit Wounds. He's a great rapper dispite all of the stuff that he seems to get himself into. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE if he would associate himself with the right people, instead of having fueds w/ J-Rule, then he wouldn't get into so much crap. All right back on topic. This guy is fantastic @ what he does, & there always seems to be a story in each and everyone of his songs. Case in point: "X Gon' Give It to Ya" talks about if you mess with him, he's gonna mess up.

Anyway, just wanted to write a review for one of the greatest/most contraversial rappers of all time, and say congrats on finally releasing a greatest-hits album. It been a long time coming, and keep the hard work.

DMX Greatest Hits with a Twist

This is Terrible. If you like DMX. Buy his albums. The production on the so-called original tracks is weak. The beats sound like I made them on my casio and put DMX acapellas over them. As for the remixes...it's enough to make DMX lose his mind...up in here...up in here.

Oh yea

Great, needs a new album no autotune. Lol I miss real music!

Genre: Hip Hop/Rap

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

Following the deaths of Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G., DMX took over as the reigning, undisputed king of hardcore rap. He was that rare commodity: a commercial powerhouse with artistic and street credibility to spare. His rapid ascent to stardom was actually almost a decade in the making, which gave him a chance to develop the theatrical image that made him one of rap's most distinctive personalities during his heyday. Everything about DMX was unremittingly intense, from his muscular, tattooed...
