How intimidating to take an already great song and try to make it your own by injecting your own artistic license while respecting the original version. Each M. Ward tribute shows his prowness at not only selecting the right songs, but performing unique fresh masterpieces of master works.

Great interpretation!
Ward's version of Green River makes you feel like this was the way it is supposed to sound! Like sitting somewhere on a bayou hearing the locals sing it like they feel it personally. That's because it's not overly produced (thank you!), and as a result sounds "real" - like you're there for the live performance.
