You know what you're getting with Merzbow
If you listen to enough Merzbow, you begin to hear the differences in his material. Some people prefer the old analog stuff, some the early tape loop stuff. This is an ocean of noise. I prefer his digital material myself, but I don't understand all the "it's just noise" one star ratings. Duh, it's Merzbow. Go listen to your nu metal.
