Great Trumpet Concerto
Im so glad this album got put up on iTunes, I've been searching for a recording of the trumpet concerto for quite some time! Its a fantastic recording, spectacular trumpet playing! This is a huge competition piece for trumpet players and it is great to have a solid example of how it should be played.
Great Trumpet Concerto, but I don
This recording of the Gregson Trumpet Concerto is fantastic! I'm so glad that it finally got put on iTunes so we can buy it. The reason I'm giving this 4 stars rather than 5 is because I think it unfair for us to have to buy the entire album in order to get the 2nd movement of the trumpet concerto. The Piano & Wind Concerto and Saxophone Concerto are available for individual purchase so instrumentalists who play those instruments don't have to buy the rest of the album. They lucked out. I know this is a marketing tactic to sell the entire album because this is the only recording available of the Trumpet Concerto, but I think this is very unfair to us.
But overall, this is a great recording of the Trumpet Concerto :)
