Trendy & funky - a must have!
Grime Silk & Thunder exists as a testament of how an artist can evolve with trends... while staying true to her roots. Ultra Nate gives us some unexpected, pleasant surprises along with what we came for... and we all came on this trip to hear house, with tracks like "Getaway" and a thrilling remake of her early hit "Scandal". Every artist has a sound which identifies them, and Ultra gives us what we love about her - uplifting lyrics and fierce guitar on my favorite cut "Give It All You Got", the peace and wisdom of "Feel Love" and the ecstasy of "Lethal Shot". Her classic sound is edgier as she moves into progressive territory with her huge mega-monster hits "Automatic" and "Loves The Only Drug", proving that she still has that sound the masses love. Ultra Nate is solely responsible for getting me into progressive house - before this album, anything that smacked of techno got on my nerves. Grime Silk Thunder opened my ears and my mind to all sorts of new music because she reminds us that progressive house can be funky and soulful and technological all in the same moment. She puts the funk back in the trends! This album is a journey on which you must embark - you cannot exist for another moment without downloading this entire album immediately!
